Lovers Point

More known for its legendary sights and breathtaking views of the bay, Lovers Point in Pacific Grove has always been a hidden skate spot for PG locs. If you don’t mind dodging tourists, there is a perfect 6 set of stairs with a handrail on the skaters left side that protects pedestrians from falling roughly 10 feet onto the beach. As dangerous as it is, very few have hit this death defying handrail and bared the consequences. Besides the rail, the stair set is pretty perfect and is a solid set to skate. Walkers and tourists are definitely frequent, so do be careful of them. Above the six stair is another 5 stair and above that set is a small 2 stair that sits right beside the Lovers Point Cafe. Besides stairs, if you go behind the pool and sand volleyball courts, you’ll find and empty court with 2 tall main ledges. This court creates an excellent flat spot and the waxed ledges are very skateable as well. There’s also a snack bar right next to the court which is pretty convenient if you need a snack to fuel you or a sip of some bev. Lovers Point is a very scenic, beautiful, and overall a fun skate spot that’s worth the visit even if you don’t plan to skate it.
