Reebok 8

The Reebok 8 stair earned its name for obvious reasons as it is a piece of the loading dock for the (Now closed) Reebok Outlet in Pacific Grove. Just South of the Aquarium and directly left of the Rec Trail if you’re heading down the coast towards Lovers Point, the Reebok stairset is the perfectly mellow 8 stair with a rusting yet skateable red handrail. It’s located at the end of the American Tin Cannery building which holds a number of outlets, candy stores, and other tourists attractions. Reebok 8 has a fairly narrow run up created by the side of the Tin Cannery building and a fence on the skaters right which eventually turns into the handrail. There’s no crack at the run up unlike most stair sets on the Peninsula which is a great advantage. This handrail has seen a number of tricks in its day, but only being 8 stairs, it’s a pretty quick grind. The landing and runout for the set is super open and wide unlike the run in which makes falling less worrisome. The loading dock to the left of the stairset can also be skated as a drop if you aren’t quite ready to clear the gap of the 8 stair. It’s the same height as the stair set, so if you want a feel for the impact but don’t want the gap, the loading dock is the perfect place to warm up. Reebok 8 stair has become a renowned local spot over the years and is a super fun skate if you’re looking to skate some stairs or to get a big trick.
