The underground parking lots in Carmel aren’t anything too indifferent from your average parking garage. They provide smoothe, slick ground, as well as plenty of coverage from rain when it’s wet outside. The main parking lot is located under a Real Estate building just outside of the Barnyard in Carmel by the Sea and offers a limited variety of manuel pads, wallrides, parking blocks, and a ledge that was recently capped but can still be skated with enough motivation. This spot isn’t anything special at all and probably isn’t worth going out of your way for, however it’s a good place to warm up or to hide away in the event of a rain storm. Unfortunately, the owners of the building don’t usually permit skateboarders as there are “No Skateboarding” signs littered throughout the parking lot, so the odds of you getting the boot are fairly high unless you show up later in the evening. Skate anytime past 9:00 PM and you should be good.
